One of the ways I gauge whether organisations that work within the blindness and low vision space are committed to braille, is to simply ask for their business card.

If you are using a Braille display with VoiceOver on iOS, I find it handy to toggle on “show on screen keyboard” in VoiceOver/Braille.
This way if I'm not near my Braille display, I still have the on screen keyboard to use.
I’ve really given up on voice dictation these days.

Feel like framing our last Powerelectricity bill for old times sake, now we are on solar/battery.
At $1500 average a quarter, we'll make our money back on the new solar/battery setup in 3.5 years.

Just made a lovely discovery on my iPhone with the Monarch, it works with Apple Books as well as the Kindle app.
Now to read some old and new Apple Books.
Work related of course.

Another tip on Braille Access/Live Captions, you can copy the content of your Live Listen session, and then paste it to any other app on your iPhone or Mac.

Thanks to those who let me know what was going on with Live Listen in iOS 26.4 beta with it not listening to the environment.
In the sub-menu for Live Listen, you can toggle between microphone or audio.
For some reason, mine had defaulted back to audio, hence why it wasn't working with the mic.
Now all good again.
Something to keep an eye on.

Happy to confirm that Braille Access/Live Captions is well on Mac OS beta 26.4 25E5233C.
Whilst I’m commenting on Braille Access/Live Captions, note that you can copy and paste what has been lived transcribed in to another app: very neat for lectures, workshops, conferences, meetings etc.

Just wondering if anyone else running the current beta of iOS 26.4 (23E5234a) live captions is not working in Braille Access?
Listening it comes up on the braille display, but nothing else that's been voiced in the environment.

One thing I absolutely appreciate about Apple Podcasts is the transcriptions that comes with the podcasts.
As I really don't have time to listen to Audio, and all the benefits smile that that brings, being able to swiftly swipe through a transcription with Eva VoiceOver speech or braille is absolutely fantastic.
Saves me a lot of time.
I also when I'm doing this, use Braille Access to take notes on the fly when reading the transcription as well.

This coaching add-on for NVDA sounds absolutely fantastic, teaching how to use the screen reader. Reminds me of the VoiceOver tutorial a little bit on the Mac
